- 1x Diamond Sword
- 1x Netherite Ingot
- 1x Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template
Note: Upgrading diamond items to netherite requires a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template. These can be found in Bastion Remnants chests. The template is consumed when used, but can be duplicated using an existing template, netherrack, and diamonds.

- Place a Smithing Table and open it.
- Insert the required items into the Smithing slots: Diamond Sword + Netherite Ingot + Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template.
- Take the upgraded Netherite Sword from the output slot.
