How to Craft Lead
Leads (or leashes) are used to tie mobs to fences or lead them around.

Ingredients Needed:
- 4x String
- 1x Slime Ball
Step-by-step Instructions
- Open a Crafting Table to access the 3×3 grid.
- Arrange the materials as shown in the grid above, then place the output Lead into your inventory.
- That’s it! You can now use or place your new item.
Ingredient Tips
String: Drops from spiders; can also be crafted from cobwebs with a sword or shears.
Slime Ball: Gather Slime Ball via its typical source (looting, mining, farming, or trading).
Uses for Lead
- Keeping animals from wandering away
- Moving animals to new locations
- Creating animal farms
- Decorative elements with fence posts
Fun Fact
Leads can be used on almost any passive mob, but not on other players, villagers, or hostile mobs. They can even be used on boats!
