Variants & Interactions
Key Interactions:
- Duration I/II/III from 1/2/3 gunpowder when used for Elytra
- Usable as crossbow ammo; stars add damage and particles
Uses for Firework Rocket
- Boosting Elytra flight (stack duration I/II/III with 1/2/3 gunpowder)
- Creating custom explosion displays (add 1–7 firework stars)
- Crossbow ammunition (with Multishot or regular)
Fun Fact
Flight duration is determined purely by the amount of gunpowder (1–3). Without stars, rockets produce no explosion particles—perfect for long-distance travel.

FAQ
Why does my rocket not explode?
Rockets without firework stars produce no explosion particles—ideal for travel.
How do I get maximum Elytra distance?
Use a 3‑gunpowder (Duration III) rocket without stars while gliding at a shallow upward angle; combine with Unbreaking/Mending elytra and Feather Falling boots for long trips.
Do more stars make me fly faster?
No. Stars only affect explosion visuals/damage when fired from a crossbow—travel speed depends solely on rocket duration tier.
