Compasses point to the world spawn point, helping players navigate the overworld.
Crafting
Ingredients Needed:
- 4x Iron Ingot
- 1x Redstone
Step-by-step Instructions
- Open a Crafting Table to access the 3×3 grid.
- Arrange the materials as shown in the grid above, then place the output Compass into your inventory.
- That’s it! You can now use or place your new item.
Ingredient Tips
Iron Ingot: Smelt iron ore or deepslate iron ore in a furnace or blast furnace.
Redstone: Mine redstone ore deep underground; useful for automation.

Fun Fact
In the Nether and End dimensions, compasses spin wildly and don't point in any specific direction unless linked to a lodestone.
